Branch of Good Neighbors International (GNI) works in Kyrgyzstan starting from 2014 in four different regions: Chuy region, Sokuluk district, Nijne-Chuisk local government; Osh region, Osh city, MTU Zhapalak; Jalal-Abad region, Toktogul district, Bel-Aldy local government; Issyk Kul region, Ton district, B.Mambetov local government

Good Neighbors International in Kyrgyz Republic is announcing the position of "CDP Coordinator".

As a Community Development Project (CDP) Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our organization's community development initiatives in a rural area. You will oversee CDP programs, manage yearly budget and your staff, engage with local residents, and implement income-generating activities.

Work Area: Bolot Mambetov Local Self Goverment, Ton District, South Lake, Issyk Kul Oblast.

Qualification requirements

Necessary Knowledge:

  • Community Development: Strong understanding of community development principles and practices.
  • Rural Development: Experience working in rural areas and familiarity with rural development challenges.
  • Project Management: Previous experience in project management, including design, implementation, and budget management.
  • Financial Management: Basic knowledge of financial management and budgeting.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google products (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Necessary educational background (related major):

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in community development, social work, international development, or a related field.

Required work experience:

  • Minimum: 3 years of relevant work experience in community development, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience working in rural areas and with marginalized communities.

Required certificate:

  • Driver's License: [B] [BC] no less than 3 years
  • Other Certificates: Additional certificates will be positively considered.

Extra required capacity:

  • Priority will be given for the candidates with living options in target area.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding and appreciation of different cultures and perspectives.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel within the rural area for project-related activities.
  • Initiative: Self-motivated and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Duties

  • Program Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CDP programs, ensuring they meet objectives within budget and timelines.
  • Budget Management: Manage yearly budget given to CDP implementation with effectiveness.
  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with residents to build strong relationships and foster community development.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and mentor team members, ensuring their effective contribution to project goals.
  • Child Sponsorship: Manage child sponsorship services and ensure the well-being of sponsored children.
  • Income Generation: Implement income-generating activities and work closely with local cooperatives.
  • Partnership Development: Foster collaborations with external organizations to expand our reach and resources.
  • Reporting: Design and manage and submission of reports in timely manner.
