Branch of Good Neighbors International (GNI) works in Kyrgyzstan starting from 2014 in four different regions: Chuy region, Sokuluk district, Nijne-Chuisk local government; Osh region, Osh city, MTU Zhapalak; Jalal-Abad region, Toktogul district, Bel-Aldy local government; Issyk Kul region, Ton district, B.Mambetov local government

Good Neighbors International in Kyrgyz Republic is announcing the position of "Design, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer".

Qualification requirements

Necessary Knowledge:

  • Familiar with local context in humanitarian sector, state development programs of the Kyrgyz Republic, global agenda of Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Can develop project log frame, Gantt chart, budget plan.
  • Can conduct an analysis using qualitative and quantitative methods (Ex: SWOT, PEST, focus group interview, etc.) for decision-making.
  • Experience in online data management / visualization tools (DHIS2, Power BI, etc.) will be an asset.
  • Confident Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet user.
  • Written and oral proficiency in English, Kyrgyz and Russian is required.

Necessary educational background (related major)

  • Bachelor’s degree / university (specialist) degree in project management, sociology, international development, or relevant field is required.
  • Master’s degree in relevant field will be an asset.

Required work experience

  • At least 3 years of progressive work experience in relevant position.
  • Work experience in international development organizations / projects funded by donors will be an asset.

Required certificate

  • Certificates are not mandatory, but proven certificate in a relevant field can be considered as an asset.

Extra required capacity

  • Fast learner, ability to analyze large amounts of information.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Work experience with beneficiaries from rural areas will be an asset.
  • Available for business trips to rural sites.
  • “B” category driver license can be considered as an asset.

Duties

Primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct project monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Development of monitoring and evaluation plans and tools.
  • Project proposal development, grant writing.
  • Conduct research, needs assessment, surveys, etc.
  • Development of mid- and long-term strategic plans.
  • Preparation of monitoring, evaluation, monthly, annual, etc. reports.
  • Data management.
