POSITION DESCRIPTION
JSI seeks a highly qualified Information System (IS) Specialist 3 for the USAID Cure Tuberculosis 2 (Cure TB 2) Project in the Kyrgyz Republic. This is a five-year USAID-funded cooperative agreement to build on the existing strengths of the National TB Program to accomplish lasting change through proven approaches such as interrupting TB transmission in communities, scaling up of prevention interventions, increasing TB case finding and ensuring all people with TB successfully complete treatment to stop spreading the disease. These interventions will be underpinned by a strengthened, more resilient and sustainable health system to address the main social drivers of the TB epidemic in the Kyrgyz Republic. A multiplier effect of strengthening future public health pandemic preparedness and readiness will be achieved by strengthening the platforms and models for effective and equitable TB service delivery in the country.
The IS Specialist 3 will work to strengthen TB Medical Information Systems (TB MIS) and assist in sustainability and enhancement. The IS Specialist 3 will participate in software acquisition, acceptance, integration of new software to TB MIS eco-system, technical monitoring for the software products, governance and strategic documentation development of the TB MIS. They will be responsible for supervision of the software development and ensure software products design and implementation review of the TB MIS, provide assistance in smooth integration of TB MIS with other Kyrgyz information systems from technology perspective and optimized paths. The IS Specialist 3 will work in the MIS Group and will report to the IS Specialist – Team Lead.
