Unpaid Intern Communication
Intern reports to the Communication Consultant,
Intern will support with the implementation of two regional projects:
1) ISF – Project Name: Living with Dignity: Preventing Violence Against Women and Girls in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The project duration is from July 2022 to 30 March 2025
2) Project Name: “STREAM – Sustainable Trans-boundary Resources Allocation Mechanisms for Peace in the Fergana Valley”, a regional climate change project to be implemented jointly with ACTED, which aims to increase regional security while improving the sustainable use of natural water and land resources across all riparian communities. The project duration is from November 2022 to August 2025
A recent graduate obtained the university degree or being a university student in social science, economics, finance, or another relevant field.
· Fluent in spoken and written Kyrgyz and Russian
· Good grasp of spoken and written English
· Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
· Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Power point, internet, etc.
· Ability to work in a dispersed team
· Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines – to be able to prioritize clearly
· Personal and professional integrity
· Flexibility, initiative and a “can do” attitude
· Meticulous attention to detail
· Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
· Eagerness to learn and contribute to the dynamic work of Alert staff in the Kyrgyz Republic
Intern Communication Unpaid
· Lead with administering social media accounts by generating content, providing user support, coordinating with relevant staff to address user problems/issues, improving layout and design.
· Lead with creating sponsored posts on our Facebook/Instagram platform to engage with our target audiences.
· Lead with designing of social media materials, as well as other project materials.
· Lead with drafting and finalizing project success stories in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English languages
· Undertake other assignments within the scope of Communications Assistant function
The internship is envisaged from October 2024 -March 2025 with possibility of extension as needed.
The precise timing ( online work, offline) will be discussed and agreed with the potential Intern.
