Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project funded by the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic by FHI 360. The EpiC project aims to achieve and sustain control of the HIV epidemic and provides strategic technical assistance and direct services to overcome barriers to achieving the 95-95-95 goal and promote self-management of national HIV programs by improving HIV case detection, prevention, and treatment.

From 2023, FHI 360, which is implementing the EpiC project in Central Asia, is also a member of a consortium of organizations implementing the Global Health Security and Pandemic Preparedness program, which aims to protect the health of Kyrgyz people in the context of the country's preparedness to prevent and respond to public health emergencies.

Qualification requirements

  • At least five-year experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio;
  • Working knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw) and generative AI tools;
  • Excellent knowledge of English, Kyrgyz and Russian languages is an asset;
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • High sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills and team spirit are important assets.

Duties

The Epic project seeks а qualified professional to fill the position of Graphic Design Consultant to support project’s program and communication activities in the Kyrgyz Republic.

  • Develop the design and layout of print communication materials such as brochures, booklets, leaflets, as well as reports and publication, including charts, tables, infographics, formatting;
  • Design illustrations for social media publications (social media posters, cards, announcements etc.);
  • Design branded merchandise as well as various event visuals (e.g., roll-up banners and stands, electronic backgrounds, signs for events);
  • Advise on ways to improve existing communication products in terms of design style and readability, usability, print production;
  • Coordinate with external partners, printing companies, production companies as necessary.

Period of contract: 6 months, and total (approximate) number of working days is 60 days for 6 months, which will be paid based on the actual number of worked days.

Location of Work:  Kyrgyz Republic

The position is remote, and the consultant can work from any location convenient for them. Communication with the project team will take place via phone, email, or various communication platforms (such as MS Teams, Zoom, and WhatsApp).
