The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law and its affiliates (ICNL) work worldwide to strengthen the legal framework for civil society, civic participation, and philanthropy. Our partners include civil society organizations (CSOs), governments, and international bodies. Please visit our website at www.icnl.org. ICNL, LLC is seeking a Finance and Operations Assistant to support ICNL’s programs in the Kyrgyz Republic. The position is based in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. 

Qualification requirements

  • University degree, preferably in finance, accounting, or a related field;
  • At least one year of professional working experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in procurement planning and asset management;
  • Knowledge of local legislation, including financial and tax regulations;
  • Knowledge of accounting programs is desired;
  • Prior work experience in civil society or international development programs is an advantage;
  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook and PowerPoint);
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
  • Fluency in English and Russian is required; fluency in Kyrgyz is desired;
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties

  • Assisting with financial management, including collecting documentation, processing payments, managing accounts, and preparing financial reports;
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of financial documentation for internal and external audits;
  • Providing logistical support for events, including trainings, seminars, conferences, public hearings, and other public events, including coordination with event vendors, drafting service contracts, amongst other responsibilities;
  • Assisting with office administration and logistics, including preparation of tenders, arranging travel logistics for ICNL staff and consultants, amongst other tasks;
  • Procuring goods and services according to project needs, as well as organizing and managing supplemental documentation and records according to ICNL policies;
  • Maintaining office records, including incoming correspondence, outgoing mail, orders, and contracts; documenting and conducting inventory of equipment purchases;
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures;
  • Traveling as necessary, with the approval of ICNL;
  • Performing other duties, upon request of supervisors.
