The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law and its affiliates (ICNL) work worldwide to strengthen the legal framework for civil society, civic participation, and philanthropy. ICNL, LLC is seeking an IT Specialist to support ICNL’s programs in the Kyrgyz Republic. The position is based in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.
● University degree, preferably in IT, computer science, or a related field.
● At least three years of relevant experience in IT support, system administration, or digital security.
● Experience working with civil society or international development programs is an advantage.
● Strong proficiency in IT systems, including hardware, software, and network management.
● Understanding of digital security tools, ability to analyze complex digital security issues, identify vulnerabilities, and develop solutions to prevent breaches.
● Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
● Fluency in Kyrgyz or Russian is required; fluency in English is desired.
● Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Illustrative responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:
● Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software for ICNL and program partners.
● Providing ICNL staff and program partners with IT support, including troubleshooting issues.
● Ensuring the security of digital systems and data through regular updates and maintenance.
● Supporting ICNL staff and program partners in setting up and managing their IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
● Assisting in the development and implementation of data backup and recovery plans.
● Providing training on digital security and the use of software, hardware, and other IT resources.
● Managing IT inventory, including tracking and maintaining equipment and software licenses.
● Monitoring and ensuring compliance with IT policies and best practices.
● Traveling as necessary, with prior approval.
