Open position for a Dance Teacher for Primary at Silk Road International School for the school year 2024/2025.

Silk Road International School (SRIS) is seeking a dedicated Dance Teacher to teach choreography and dance to students from Kindergarten to Grade 5. As a dance teacher, you will help our students develop physical coordination, flexibility, and a love for movement that will serve them throughout their lives. You will also assist in preparing choreographies for school events and performances.

Qualification requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Choreography, Dance, or related field.
• At least one year of teaching experience, preferably in working with young children.
• Strong physical fitness and knowledge of child-appropriate dance techniques.
• Ability to teach various dance styles and choreograph performances.

Key Competencies and Skills:

• High energy, friendliness, and ability to engage with young children.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement creative lesson plans.
• Collaboration skills for working with teachers and preparing students for performances.

Languages:

• English: B1 Level or better (Independent user > Threshold or intermediate).

Duties

• Plan and implement dance lessons and activities suitable for young learners.
• Teach a variety of dance styles, choreograph routines, and train students for performances.
• Ensure student safety during physical activities.
• Collaborate with school staff to promote physical activity and wellness.
• Assist in preparing for school events and coordinate student performances.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and event participation.

Conditions

Start and Duration:

• This position is currently open and needs to be filled as soon as possible.
• Full-time role with a one-year contract, with the possibility of contract extension by mutual consent.
