The National Democratic Institute (NDI) Kyrgyzstan Office is seeking to hire a Women and Youth Program Officer. Under the direction of the Women and Youth Program Manager, she/he will provide support to programming, conducting also a variety of different administrative, coordination, reporting, and logistical duties. 

Qualification requirements

• An undergraduate (first-level) degree in either the political or social sciences, with a postgraduate degree in similar subjects strongly preferred;
• Previous professional experience in a related field is preferred
• A thorough analytical understanding of the external operating environment as it affects the program;
• Experience in developing and delivering training workshops;
• Professional level fluency in Kyrgyz, Russian and English;
• Ability to work in an organized manner and to be able to meet deadlines;;
• Ability and willingness to work as a member of a team with people of different cultural and religious backgrounds and genders, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity;
• Demonstrated gender awareness with the ability to integrate a gender perspective into programming;
• Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office programs.

Duties

• Support the design, implementation monitoring, and evaluation of project activities
• Develop new program initiatives in close consultation with management;
• Coordinate activities with NDI partner organizations and contracted experts;
• Coordinate closely with relevant national and international partners and stakeholders working in the sector;
• Provide regular written contributions to program reporting as required; 
• Monitor assigned program budgets in cooperation with other relevant NDI teams; and 
• Undertake other duties, as directed.

Conditions

This is a full-time position.  Office working hours are 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. She/he must also be available to travel across Kyrgyzstan periodically as required.
