Bishkek International School is a non-profit community school providing excellent international education in a safe, supportive and happy environment. The school opened in September 2011 and now has over 400 students from age 2 to 18. Fifty percent of our students are foreign citizens, children of employees of embassies, international organizations and international business or NGOs. Fifty percent of students are Kyrgyz citizens. The school welcomes all students regardless of ability, gender, ethnicity, language, or religious belief and everyone is encouraged to take part in all school activities. BIS is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Commission on International Education. As an IB World School we offer the IB Diploma Programme, IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), and IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). We are also a Cambridge International School, offering the Cambridge IGCSE programme in Grades 9-10.

1. Receiving and making calls on behalf of the school;
2. Assisting the school with any reasonable request;
3. Working with the school staff in organization of every day work and events;
4. Translating documents and interpreting from English to Russian and Russian to English;
5. Receiving members of the public and parents, giving information about the school to telephone enquiries;
6. Registering letters and correspondence, administrative assistance, records management:
preparing certificates, reports;
7. Plan, keep and report appropriate records to school management and parents.;
8. Manage store rooms for teaching supplies and supply teachers as required;
9. Distribution of all cleaning and educational supplies to appropriate staff;
10. Manage store rooms with cleaning substances and supply cleaning and kitchen staff as required. Ensure that the cleaning substances are ordered on time;
11. Ensure that Reception area is clean and tidy;
12. Act as an information hub between teaching and technical staff;
13. Act in accordance with the budgets, policies, procedures, directions and decisions of the school management;
14. Act as ambassador for the school and act in a manner that upholds the values and ethos of the school at all times;
15. Maintain high quality standards in all areas of the school;
16. Any other tasks as decided by management that contributes to the provision of quality education for children or the effective development of the School.
REPORTING
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant reports to the Head of Administration.
Conditions: Position is subject to 3-month probationary period. The position is full time.
