About the project

Integrated Rural Development Project in Kyrgyzstan is a rural development project funded by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The project is expected to work with 30 selected villages in Osh and Batken for the next 5 years with following goals:

i) Creating an enabling socio-economic environment by supporting the basic rural infrastructure.

ii) Enhancing household income by increasing agricultural productivity and improving access to external markets

iii) Improving governance in rural development by building the institutional capacity of government agencies in designing national policy.  

The project office, based in Osh, is currently recruiting local staff. We encourage all those interested in community development and value chain to apply.

Qualification requirements

• University Degree and minimum of two years of work experience in project implementation;
• Strong organizational and communication skills;
• Good report writing skills;
• Strong presentation and communications skills both in English and Russian;
• Able to liaise, work effectively and interact in a professional manner with staff within own work location, and with other IRDP stakeholders.
• Good analytical thinking and ability to accurately enter data.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and spoken Kyrgyz, Russian and English.
• Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools;
• Excellent skills of working with databases and interpreting data;

Duties

• Assist in the coordinate the implementation of the project relevant components;

• Monitor implementation of the activities to ensure work is proceeding according to established plans;

• Analyse implementation difficulties and make recommendations for adjusting implementation modalities and work plans to best reflect changing environment on the field;

• Maintain regular communication and coordination with the project’s implementing partners, including the government stakeholders, implementing partners, and experts engaged;
• Provide technical and administrative support to the Program;
• Monitor work of implementing partners and report any non-compliance to the supervisor;
• Assist in the successful implementation of relevant components of the IRDP;
• Prepare letters, requests, meeting minutes and other documents related to the activities of the Program;
