Scope of Work and Expected Outputs

The purpose of this Contract is to provide training on the ‘Cybersecurity’ module for participants of the ‘Accelerating Women’s Access to the Knowledge Economy’ Programme, which is designed for high-skilled women.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline;
• Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity tools and frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, SIEM/SOC, IDS/IPS, network defense, pentest tools);
• At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity/computer science practice or teaching.
• Experience in conducting professional training or workshops for adult learners;
• Strong practical knowledge of Windows, Linux, networking, and security tools;
• International cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CEH, Security+, OSCP, or similar) will be an asset;
• Excellent communication and English language skills.

Duration and Timeline

• Total duration: November 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027;
• The Consultant shall deliver up to 5 training modules in accordance with the AWAKE Programme schedule and implementation plan;
• Expected workload: Equivalent to 10-15 working days for one training cycle;
• Reporting schedule: Progress updates shall be provided in accordance with the Programme requirements;
• Deliverable 1 within 10 calendar days after contract signing;
• Deliverable 2 - within 60 calendar days after contract signing;
• Further extension of the Service Agreement may be considered for 2027 based on the Consultant’s performance and the Programme needs.

Reporting and Coordination

The Consultant will report to the Principal Investigator and will work closely with relevant faculty team

Authorship rights

UCA holds all authorship rights for all deliverables, and they cannot be used or reproduced without our permission.

Evaluation:

The performance of the Trainer will be evaluated based on the quality and effectiveness of the training, adherence to timelines, and responsiveness to feedback. The results of the performance may influence the decision regarding the Trainer’s further participation in CPUR and other GSD training activities.

The work of the Trainer consists of two components:

1.Familiarization with Course Materials

• Review and understand all materials developed for the Cybersecurity module and provided by the Module Developer: curriculum, slides, labs, reading materials, and evaluation instruments;
• Participate in coordination calls and prepare the teaching plan for the assigned module.

2. Delivery of Training Sessions

• Conduct live online (and/or hybrid) training sessions for adult learners following the approved curriculum;
•  Facilitate practical labs, group exercises, and assignments via provided platforms (e.g., virtual ranges, CTF challenges);
•  Provide feedback and guidance during training, monitor learner progress, and support completion of practical tasks;
•  Administer the final assessment/exam and provide grading and performance feedback in coordination with the Module Developer.

Training modules include (depending on specialization assigned):

• Fundamentals of Cybersecurity;
• Network Security and Threat Analysis;
• Secure Systems and Cloud Security;
• Incident Response and Digital Forensics;
• Security Monitoring and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk);
• Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing.
