Virtual Accelerate (www.virtualaccelerate.com) is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform designed to support business growth programs at various scales. It serves as a comprehensive solution for entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, and implementing teams, providing tools for managing business acceleration and incubation programs. The platform is used globally, supporting diverse ecosystems in multiple regions.
Accelerate Prosperity (AP) is a global initiative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Central and South Asia which offers creative financial solutions as well as pre and post investment technical assistance to help grow early-stage businesses, startups, and innovative ideas. AP with the vision for an inclusive and prosperous society powered by entrepreneurs, intends to inspire rising entrepreneurs in emerging regions to grow new markets, create sustainable employment, and strengthen communities. AP program is mandated to facilitate the creation of sustainable and commercially viable Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) in priority sectors of Agribusiness, ICT, Education and ECD, Textiles, Hospitality, Green Growth, and Health.

AKF and AP has secured funding from the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) funding, supplemented by AKDN’s own contributions, to fund the “Central Asian Green Inclusive Growth Fund (GIG)”. The Assistant to the Virtual Accelerate Global Lead will play a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the platform, supporting the Global Lead with administrative and strategic tasks, assisting with marketing efforts, and ensuring an excellent experience for all users.

Qualification requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
2.  At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment
3. Strong organizational skills
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Duties

The primary objective of the product promotion specialist is to provide high-quality support in the areas of operational management, marketing, and customer  engagement. This includes ensuring the platform’s users and stakeholders have a seamless experience and supporting the Global Lead in achieving the platform’s strategic goals. 

 Scope of Work 

 1. Support to the Global Lead 

• Provide administrative and organizational support to the Global Lead, including managing schedules, arranging meetings, and preparing reports. 

• Assist in the preparation of necessary finance documents and payments, accompanied by following procurement procedures 

• Compile data and prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders. 

 2. Marketing Support 

• Assist in the development of marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and digital content tailored to different audiences. 

• Manage and update the platform’s social media channels to increase visibility and user engagement. 

• Coordinate and support event organization (e.g., webinars, product launches, and conferences). 

 3. Customer Support and Engagement 

• Serve as the first point of contact for platform users, addressing queries, troubleshooting technical issues, and escalating concerns as necessary. 

• Develop and maintain a knowledge base or FAQ section for the platform to improve user experience. 

• Assist in conducting onboarding sessions for new customers, ensuring they fully understand and utilize the platform’s features. 

• Support the implementation of training programs for customers and partners. 

 Deliverables 

• Timely execution of marketing campaigns and delivery of associated materials. 

• Positive user feedback on customer support and engagement. 

• Comprehensive documentation of processes and user engagement initiatives. 

• Regular updates on key performance metrics.
