Summary of Services

The Part-Time IT Specialist will provide comprehensive support for server management, network administration, and backup operations for the SFCG Kyrgyzstan office. This role also includes evaluating and recommending IT equipment purchases, handling user support, documenting technical issues, and producing regular reports. Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for maintaining communication with the head office in Washington and contributing to the organization’s development. The successful candidate must have the ability to work in a highly visible, fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision and major responsibility, and requires thorough knowledge of IT environments and technologies.

• Major in computer science or related field.
• A strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated, multi-tasker, and self-starter.
• An openness to learning new technologies. 
• Fluency in written and spoken English, Russian and Kyrgyz (highly preferred).

Обязанности

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Provides routine server support and general network and backup administration for Bishkek
• Evaluates and recommends the purchase of IT equipment for both SFCG Kyrgyzstan offices;
• Responds to all users within one business day via phone, email, or chat, resolving issues in a timely manner;
• Details documentation of every request and project, logging incidents and resolutions into the appropriate software database;
• Produces weekly and monthly reports for supervisor;
• Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities, reporting violations;
• Actively communicates to appropriate staff about updates or changes in the infrastructure;
• Be engaged in the continuing development of the organization, its mission, and its staff, through the sharing of experience and knowledge;
• Maintain close liaison with the head office in Washington and respond promptly to all requests.
