Promotion of Perinatal Health in Kyrgyzstan

The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Mother and Child Healthcare (NMCHC) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) within the joint implementation of ‘Promotion of Perinatal Health in Kyrgyzstan’ programme announce an open tender for the position of the National Coordinator for the following tasks:The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Mother and Child Healthcare (NMCHC) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) within the joint implementation of ‘Promotion of Perinatal Health in Kyrgyzstan’ programme announce an open tender for the position of the National Coordinator for the following tasks:

Qualification requirements

  • Higher education, Medical background in Obstetrics/Gynecology, Physician/Public Health.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the healthcare sector, working in quality committees and cooperating with development partners.
  • Good command of Kyrgyz, English and Russian languages;
  • Outstanding and proven organisational skills;
  • Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills;
  • Knowledge in the health sector of advantage;
  • Experience in conducting research or working in public health desirable;
  • Analytical and writing skills, along with clear oral communication ability.

Duties

Advisory functions to Government (ministry of health, mandatory health insurance funds) and subordinate institutions (hospitals…) on how to improve the referral system, advisory services related to CEMD and quality improval measures for the newly developed Antenatal care protocol

The Advisor performs the following tasks:

A.     Tasks

  • Support the development and adaptation of people centred integrated care approach with a focus on perinatal care in the pilot regions in line with the Sector Strategy 2030;
  • Advise GoK and other partners on perinatal issues, particularly for the reproductive health programme;
  • Advise the project and its partners on how to improve the quality of ANC in line with the newly finalized ANC protocol;
  • Support at a central level GoK on adaptation of referral system guidelines and at oblast level with the implementation of this.
